Newbies Hints and Tips – Working Your New Internet Business

So – you’re NEW to this business? So – you need to know where to begin…

You want to sell your products to a hungry market, but where is your hungry market? You need to know which Niche you are going to address, and you need to know this before you create your first product to sell. It’s probably not going to be that easy or straightforward – at least not in the beginning. That’s where you need help! Ask your self a few questions:

What are your preconceptions about this business? Maybe you should throw these out – now. Most people imagine (before they begin any new business) exactly what they think they want. They imagine exactly how they think their new business will work for them. But – in reality it hardly ever happens that way.

Time and time again I’ve seen people jump right in at the deep end – before carefully considering the consequences.

So, you are now starting your Internet Marketing business, and you are all fired up and ready to go. That’s great. But what’s going to happen next week, or next month? Maybe you will be slowing down, running out of steam, and seemingly not getting anywhere. Why is this? What is your problem? Are you stuck with something? Don’t worry, all newbies get stuck from time to time, it’s really quite normal.

So what now – which way to turn? Have you written down your goals? It’s so important to do this.

Do make realistic goals – for instance don’t write: “by this time next year I’ll be a millionaire” – as unless you win the Lottery this is really most unlikely. So write a few simple goals, and be sure to achieve them!

Remember that well-known saying: “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.

Set yourself your daily schedule, and stay focused. You will have an amazing sense of satisfaction upon achieving one task you have set yourself! Everyone suffers from writers block – especially newbies. But when you need inspiration just take a sheet of paper – or open up the laptop – and just write something – anything! It doesn’t have to be “good” or “clever” – but just start writing. Then you’ll find suddenly you ARE writing something good! Carry a notebook and pencil around with you. This is something I always do. Then when I get one of those magic moments – you know – like when someone switches on a light bulb in your head – and I think: “that’s it!” – I write it down.

Yes, you can get other people to write your product, and yes, you can get other people to write your sales letter. However, to start with I personally do believe it’s better to do your own work – to create your own unique produce, and to write your own unique sales letter. Not only will this be your own unique work, but also it will be a lot less expensive for you!

Of course it will take a little practice, but you WILL get there with a little application and perseverance. No, you most probably won’t become an overnight success. If you ask any successful Internet Marketer they will tell you it’s been a lot of hard work to get where they are today. But surely something that is too easily achieved isn’t going to be worth the achievement – that’s my motto!

Most important of all, treat this as a FUN business! After all, it IS fun. The words you put down on paper will being in many thousands of dollars, which to anybody’s way of thinking has got to be fun, for sure!

Marketing an internet business requires a plan of attack, patience and also perseverance. Your introduction is for “bullet” points also known as teasers to arouse the readers interest to read the rest of the article.

Article writing: Step three- Create the body of the article. This is the section to go into detail about the main topic of the article. Be creative and have a flow that can easily be followed. By now you have the reader’s attention and your goal is to keep going to the conclusion and your resource box which is your final call to action is located.

Article writing: Step four- Your conclusion must summarize the benefits in the body of your article into one short paragraph. Your conclusion must be good enough to make the reader want to find out more information your website by clicking on the link in your resource box. The resource box is simply the section that let the reader know your brief background and skills and your website URL.

Marketing an internet business by writing an article will not be complete without an effective article promotion strategy. Your unique article now needs to be submitted to article distribution directories. The key is to get your article into thousands of websites that needs content. The websites that use your article also agree to display your resource box with your website URL. Now when the search engines see your website URL on so many other websites based on a certain keyword your internet business will start getting a share of visitors seeking information about that specific keyword. The top article distribution directories from my experience are Articlesdynamic.com, EzineArticles.com, Articlesinsync.com, and Articledashboard.com. After submitting to these four directories, you can also submit to other lesser known directories. In about a week or two types in the title of your article in Google or yahoo and see how many websites are displaying your article to the World Wide Web.

Article writing and article promotion can be an effective strategy to use in marketing an internet business. Be concise and give the reader what information they seek and a large percentage will visit your website giving you the opportunity to sell them your products or you can make money when they click on the Google ads displayed on your site. The key is to get visitors to your site and what happens after that is full of limitless possibilities.

Early in an Internet marketing person’s career, they usually learn the value of using Google AdSense. You know the ads that seem to blend into the page, as if they’re part of the design? Those are AdSense ads, and if you make them part of your website or blog, when someone clicks on an ad, you’ll be paid.

You could earn tons of cash in some niches. Advertisers using the keyword “dog,” for example, pay $12 thousand to more than $22 thousand per day for their clicks. If you’re in the dog niche, you may do very well with Google’s ad system.

But Internet marketing is full of niches, and you may not be in a niche that’s as popular. Then what can you do?

1. Be sure to use the colors in your website or blog when designing your ads. For example, if your website is primarily white, you want ads with white backgrounds and white borders.
